The Topkote 2000 Primer is a superior, high performance 4-1 primer system designed for kitchen and bathroom refinishing. Our 2000 Primer base coat was specifIcally formulated to properly prepare the substrate for the topcoat.

Uses: This product is an excellent undercoat for porcelain, ceramic tile, bathroom partitions, fIberglass and Formica countertops.

Mixing: 2000 Primer is a two component system consisting of the base and hardener. Both components' temperature must be above 55°F before intermixing. Mixing ratio is 4 to 1 parts by volume. This product has a pot life of approximately 2-3 hours. DO NOT USE CATALYZED MATERIAL THAT HAS EXCEEDED RECOMMENDED POT LIFE.

Surface Preparation: Surface to be painted must be clean and free of moisture, oil, grease, loose paint, rust, polish, and waxes. For porcelain and ceramic tile, we recommend using our Crosslink Adhesive prior to application of primer. May be used with or without Crosslink Adhesive or etching.

Coverage: One catalyzed gallon will cover approximately 600 sq. ft. at 1 mil. dry fIlm thickness.

Sheen: Flat.

Flash Point: In excess of 60°F.

Color: Off White, Gray and Charcoal

Reduction: Not recommended. If reduced, use our EX2000 Reducer

Dry Times: Dry to re-coat in 15 minutes

Pot Life: At 70°F, pot life is approximately 2 hours. If temperature increases, pot life will be shorter.

Recommended Application: Two light wet coats
